Multi-Institutional Core Collaborations

Speaker: Tom Colella
Track:

Coordination of core facilities within an institution has become a common practice and offers an effective approach to aligning efforts and leveraging investments in cores. But why stop there?... why not take advantage of the benefits that can be realized through developing strategic core partnerships with other campuses, and other institutions?   This session will examine four cases where such partnerships have been developed to accomplish more through resource-sharing and specialization.  Participants will gain insights on collaborations of various types including public-private, multi-state, and multi-campus, at different stages of development.  They will also interactively address some common challenges through round-table follow up discussion, and take away examples of partnership agreements that have proven useful.
