The Organizing Committee for the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities invites you to join us in “Learning from Biomolecules: The Technology Behind the Story” in Orlando, Florida.
The best scientific communications tell a story: why the work is important and where it might lead, while most of the technology that drives the story is conducted “off stage.” This year’s meeting will focus on the cutting edge technologies that drive these stories, and how to implement these techniques in core facilities.
We will hear from innovators developing advanced methods to test hypotheses, and listen to the stories from the scientists applying these methods. The ABRF Research Groups, utilizing the expertise of our members, will report their findings from controlled experiments performed to test the limits of available methods. In addition, we are planning some exciting Workshops and Tutorials where we will discuss the nuts and bolts of implementing pioneering technologies in the laboratory. Roundtable sessions will allow us to pose questions to the experts.
At the same time, our commercial partners will present the latest updates in technology, machines and techniques. In addition to the science presentations, there will be ample opportunities to talk and network with fellow attendees. People who work in Core Facilities are special – they truly enjoy helping others -- and this attribute shows in our annual meetings. The ABRF meeting is the place to go for practical and friendly advice from fellow scientists who have faced the same technical problems as you. Networking, here we come!
We look forward to seeing you in Orlando!
