**Core Facilities Poster Submission Criteria:
Poster topics should be aimed at promoting scientific discovery or enriching the core or laboratory setting. Posters that focus on marketing a core facility (e.g. presenting an inventory of services or equipment) will not be accepted.
Suggested core poster topics might include:
1) Development of a novel technique or protocol modification
2) Implementation of a new workflow (e.g., new LIMS or core management system)
3) An evaluation of a core’s impact on the institute it serves.
It is important that the poster identify a problem or need and provide data (i.e. measurable qualities/results) that support the conclusions. The abstract format (text only, no figures or references) used by the Journal of Biomolecular Techniques should be followed. The abstract should include language that provides an introduction, objective(s), methods, results, and a conclusion.
The Waters Corporation is sponsoring Poster Awards, which provide $500 as reimbursement for travel costs, for the four best posters presented at ABRF 2013 that contain original research. To enter this poster competition, please check the Waters check box when submitting your abstract.
