ABRF Travel Awards

  2017 - ABRF Outstanding Scientist/Technologist Travel Awards

Travel awards are available to ABRF members who have made outstanding contributions in their institutional core facilities; have developed new biotechnologies with applications in core facilities; and/or have been active in ABRF activities. The award is to be used to offset the cost of attending ABRF 2017: "A Forum for Advancing Today's Core Technologies to Enable Tomorrow's Innovations," which will be held in San Diego, California, March 25-28.

Students, postdoctoral fellows, or laboratory technicians directly associated with the mission of member laboratories may also apply.

The deadline for applications is February 15, 2017 .

Applicants should submit the following:

1. An application form Click here to apply.

2. A letter of support outlining the outstanding attributes of the applicant. If the applicant is a facility director, a letter of support from a senior colleague or head of department must be provided. Letters of support should be emailed to Jennifer.Holbrook@nemours.org.

3. Register for ABRF 2017. Successful applicants will have their registration covered by the award and will be reimbursed. Please note that successful applicants must be members of ABRF at the time of the ABRF 2017 meeting, and are required to attend the awards session to accept their prize.
